Bonnie Somerville mugged and friend shot

Moments after leaving T-Moble’s G1 launch party in Hollywood, Somerville – who played Ross’ girlfriend Mona in “Friends” and had recurring parts on “NYPD Blue” and “Cashmere Mafia” – was robbed at gunpoint and her male companion, Walter Stewart, shot in the back.

According to TMZ, two robbers approached from behind and demanded the actress’ purse. A struggle broke out and one of the bandits pulled a handgun and fired at Stewart.

“Bitch, gimme your purse or you’ll get shot, too,” one of the gunmen shouted at Somerville, according to a witness who spoke to TMZ.

After Somerville handed over her bag, the muggers escaped in a vehicle with several other men, the Web site reported.
