David Blaine… The Croissant Nazi.

Did the headline grab you? Lol. Well let’s just say David Blaine’s reaction this weekend reminded me of a certain Seinfeld episode “No Soup for you!”

David and his fiancée, Alizee Guinochet pulled up to Iris Nail Salon located on Broadway between 10^th and 11^th on their BMW motorcycle yesterday. He hops off first and heads into the salon to get his weekly manicure, while Alizee goes next door to get something to eat at Le Pain Quotidien. Five minutes later she strolls into the nail salon looking aggravated and tired. She pulls up a chair and sits next to him. He asked her, what did she get to eat? She said, “a croissant”.

Then it started… He asked why did you get that to eat? She said because I’m hungry and haven’t eaten anything all day and I am feeling nauseous. He said “IT’S NOT WHOLE GRAIN” —she asked “What’s whole grain”.

David then proceeded to list: brown rice, whole wheat, etc.

She said, why do you have to make a big deal out of everything? To which David replied because you didn’t eat any brown rice last night for dinner. He said go ahead and eat it, “I don’t give a fuck what you do!!!!!”. He said look at your skin. Then he repeated again, “go ahead and eat it”. By this time she was pissed, not because it wasn’t whole grain or brown rice, but because heads started to turn as David started to yell at her even more.

At the end of his manicure, he snatches to bag with the croissant out of her hand and gives it to the manager of the nail salon and says “she’s not going to eat this, do you think one of your workers might want it?” Alizee couldn’t get out of the salon faster maybe she was just so embarrassed.

He paid for the manicure and she follows directly behind him texting someone on her blackberry.

They both hop on the motorcycle. Now who said a trip to the nail salon is boring?!
