Who wears short shorts?

Celebs wear short shorts! It’s that time of year again! Time for celebrity starlets to don the ultra skimpy Daisy Dukes, which in fact are so short that the shorts, cutoffs, underwear or whatever you want to call them can’t even cover the pocket lining.

It’s unclear who started this trampy trend; however, my bet is leaning towards Britney Spears. Sure it may have been okay to walk around a small town of Louisiana in these ridiculous homemade cutoffs where the population barely reaches five thousand, but common sense (or at least her manager) should have told Ms. Spears that struttin’ her “stuff” around the prominent, classy and posh neighborhoods of Beverly Hills is just not okay.

To make matters worse, this shoddy style has caught on among other celebrities in Hollywood and also in the fashion industry. (Free People clothing brand, I mean you!)

With the likes of Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and the latest fashion culprit, Miley Cyrus, sporting this unflattering look, it sparks the thought, “These celebs are making millions of dollars and they can’t splurge for a bit more fabric.” Strangely though, some of these teeny tiny shorts cost around $200! Although when most celebrities can afford to spend over $2,000 on a handbag or $500 on a pair of shoes, an extra $100 for more fabric is minor.
